Day 6 – 2017 Fasting (Saturday)

On January 13th, 2017, posted in: 21 Day Fast 2017, Devotionals by | 3 Comments

I  pray that this week was as spiritually rewarding for you as it was for me. Remember, out of the 365 days of the year, 21 days is a small sacrifice to pay to set the pace for the rest of the year.

As you move forward, move in faith; faith knowing that God will remember these 21 days long after you’ve forgotten the difficulty of your fast. In the book of Esther chapter 2 verses 21 thru 23 Mordecai favorably does something for the king that gets recorded in a book. At that time it may have seem like it was tucked away and forgotten. However, years later, when most needed, the king pulled the records and Mordecai’s selfless act came back to bless and spare his life. You too can experience a faith that will cause you to move and do things that will come back to bless you for years to come. Did you catch that? God does forget!

Focus today on Faith. Faith that you can approach God, and that when you do, He hears you. It doesn’t matter what impossibility you may be facing or how long you think the answer has taken. Keep moving in faith. Hebrew 11:6 says:

“Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.”

Ask God to increase your faith to go beyond your current limitations. Faith to approach Him boldly and know that He is listening. Faith to do what it takes to make it through the next 15 days days in victory. Faith to know that He is there even when you don’t feel Him. Faith to open up in prayer, in meditation, and in the study of His word and know that the reward will surely take you to new levels. Are you ready for an increase in faith?

Here are some scripture verses to read and meditate on throughout the day: (Click on the verses to read them on

Deut. 31:6, Psalms 40:1-3, Isaiah 26:3-4, Phil. 4:6-7, Hebrews 10:35-38, 1 Peter 5:7-9

Believing with you,

Pastor Charles

Thank you Pastor Charles for feeding us these daily devotionals, they are a blessing as we get to connect corporately as a church and focus on what the Lord is saying. I am praying for “obedience rooted on faith” personally and corporately. I pray deep revelation and deep conviction upon God’s church! Can’t wait to see what the Lord has in stored for 2017. God bless!

Thank you so much for that word. 21 days of fasting and giving up our agenda for what the Lord expects of us is worth it. It’s a time to turn away from unnecessary needs and get into the face of God.
