Day 11 – 2017 Fasting (Thursday)

“Do you want to get well?” With a question like that you would think the answer would be an immediate, “Yes!” Instead it was, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred.” Such was the answer of a man that had been sick for thirty-eight years laying by the pool of Bethesda. (John 5:1-8)

His respond is too similar to ours – shaking in fear over battles God has already won. It seems like we go through life, from one weakness to another. Sometimes we become to focused on an illness, a weakness or some disability that wants to paralyze us from seeing progress. And like this man by the pool of Bethesda, instead of accepting God’s invitation to be healed, we make excuses.

Well how about if I told you that God desires for you to be healthy and whole? Some of these weaknesses and sicknesses may not leave if not through Fasting and prayer. Such was the case of the epileptic son of a man in Matthew 17:14-16, whom the disciples tried to cure but couldn’t. Jesus’ response? “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and Fasting.”

As you continue your fast, pray, declare, and believe God for healing. Whether it’s for you, a loved one, or someone you may know of, believe that God is still a healing God.

Perhaps the sickness is physical, spiritual, emotional or otherwise. Whatever the case, God is still a healing God. Though I don’t share this as an excuse or exemption from seeing doctors, (for I believe God has given doctors knowledge and wisdom) at the end of the day, God can work the miracle that others may have given up on.

Here are some scripture verses to read and meditate on throughout the day: (Click on the verses to read them on

Ex. 15:262 Chron. 7:14, Psalms 30:2; 103:1-3; 107:20, Isaiah 53:5, Jer. 17:14, Hos.6:1, Mt.10:1, Lk.6:19, James 5:14-16

Believing with you for healing,

Pastor Charles

Great word! Too often we are afraid of things that God has already gone before us and has slain the enemy. Yet we make excuses. Perhaps if we thought long and hard all of us have those should’ve would’ve and could’ves. Had we trusted God!

Amen. Praise God Pastor. What an awesome word. Connecting and believe with you for supernatural healing throughout the body of Christ in Jesus name. That not only bodies would be made whole but mindsets and emotional healing as well. In Jesus name Amen…

Thank you Pastor Charles. You are right about the way we see things. God is a God of miracles. He knows our needs. We just have to want to be healed. Say yes Lord. I want to be healed. No excuses. Amen!

Yes, God is still in the healing business. However, we must believe, pray and fast. I am a living walking testimony. In 2008, I was diagnosed with having a 2cm tumor pressing on my spine at the t5 location that could cause me to go paralyze from my waist down. I was told that I had to have surgery but only had only a 5% chance that I would walk again. So, I went on an excursion to Ocean City Maryland in 2009 to find out the root cause of why I have a disease like a none believer. God said, because ” I was sinner just like them”. Through prayer & fasting and attending a healing conference in Georgia, I found out the root cause of my disease it was “bitterness”. I had to do a lot of inner work, Then God allow me to find a surgeon in Philadelphia that said, all my patience “walk again”. I finally had the surgery in 2011, I was able to walk and move my legs right after awaking from the surgery. Then I went to rehab for ten days and sent home. Now, after the 5th day of being home the devil was not to happy with my recovery, so he caused me to fall, which landed me into rehab for another 48 days. But though it all, I kept my faith and stood on God’s promises. I am walking, running and serving the Lord. Finally, when the doctors give you a negative report, whose report are you going to believe?
